Questions
What people ask after a hail storm.
Including the two that protect you from the trucks with out-of-state plates.
Is the inspection really free?
Yes, and you get the photo report whether or not you use us. About a third of our inspections end with us telling somebody their roof is fine and to call us in five years. That is a normal outcome — the inspection is free because it is the cheapest way for us to earn the work we do deserve.
Do I have hail damage?
It is usually invisible from the ground. A bruised mat looks fine until it fails two winters later, which is why we photograph every slope and measure impact density per test square. Sometimes there is genuinely no claim, and we will tell you that.
Someone knocked on my door after the storm. Should I sign?
Not on the doorstep. After a significant Oklahoma storm this metro fills with out-of-state contractors, and the pressure to sign an authorisation immediately is the tell. Take the card, get a second inspection, and check the licence with the Oklahoma Construction Industries Board before anyone touches your roof.
Will you cover my deductible?
No. Under Oklahoma law a roofing contractor may not pay, waive, rebate or absorb an insurance deductible, and any contractor offering to do so is proposing something illegal that puts your claim at risk as well as their licence. Be very careful with anyone who offers.
Can you just roof over the old shingles?
It is usually legal and it is cheaper, and we advise against it. Laying over hides every soft deck board, traps heat that shortens the new shingles' life, and makes the next replacement more expensive. We will price it if you insist and we will put our advice in writing.
How long does a replacement take?
Most single-family homes in this metro are a one or two day job, weather permitting. Complex Edmond roofs with multiple planes and a lot of flashing can run to three. We sweep the property with magnets twice before we leave.
What warranty do I get?
Manufacturer warranty on the materials, up to 50 years depending on the product line, and our own workmanship warranty on the installation. Both are given to you in writing at handover. A manufacturer warranty means little if the installation was wrong, which is why the workmanship one matters more.
Do you offer financing?
Yes, typically from $189 a month at 0% APR for 24 months on approved credit. The cash price is always presented alongside it so you can compare the real cost of both rather than only seeing a monthly figure.
